1994
         I started working with a company called Wishbone Systems as a systems analyst and tester when I was just out of college. The work involved intensive bug testing and quality checking of the various software products produced by the company. During the year (1994) that I worked with the company I picked up valuable information and experience in the design and quality checking of software systems.

1995 – 98
                With the experience gained in developing software and components I went on to work for a startup company called Quadrant Creations. As one of the initial employees of this firm I was responsible for the setting up of the infrastructure and other work related features of the company. The company was setup to provide the Indian (Bangalore) market with various multimedia benefits/opportunities. One of the initial trendsetters in this industry, we were able to provide customized multimedia solutions to a whole lot of industries in India and abroad. Our investments in infrastructure allowed us not only to work with clients directly but also provide support services to other multimedia development houses. Some of the prestigious clients that we have worked with include – AT&T, Citibank, Standard Chartered Bank, Wipro Infotech, BFL Software, etc.

The company was setup as an NRI experiment in the multimedia environment in India and due to my performance during its nascent stage, I was made a partner in the firm.

I was in-charge of a 3 member technical team and was responsible for the design and execution of the multimedia presentations. The team included a sound engineer, 2D animator/artist and I was responsible for concept design, 3D animation and authoring. In-house facilities included a Silicon Graphics O2 workstation and the latest of Pentium based computers, with video digitization, scanning, digital imaging, CD-ROM mastering, etc. This vast infrastructure base allowed me to gain in-depth working knowledge of most of the latest technologies present and in use in the industry. Besides using standard authoring tools, at times, to achieve code optimization I have also used Visual Basic as a development tool. The level of customizability offered by VB is much more than other multimedia authoring tools.
Due to my valuable input in project design and implementation, our company grew from a one-town multimedia development organization to one that is executing projects in Singapore and the Middle East now.

Our work involved the development of 3d animations, corporate presentations, computer based training modules, etc., for various Indian and international multinational companies.
